In this tutorial, you will learn to create a hinged coffin pendant with an interchangeable coffin-shaped focal stone. The process begins with constructing the lower half of the pendant, which includes a hinge mechanism and a lower latch for locking. Next, you will create the lid, featuring a spider web design and a matching upper latch. Finally, the tutorial will guide you in crafting a recessed bail and a small gemstone spider to complete the pendant’s design.

Materials required (not inluded:

Wire:

• 10 m 0.3 mm (28 ga) wire
• 1 m of 0.4 mm (26 ga) wire
• 1 m of 0.6 mm (22 ga) wire
• 2 m 0.8 mm (20 ga) wire

Stones and beads:
• 3 cm coffin shaped stone
• 4 mm round, faceted accent stone
• 4 mm drilled pearl

• 1 x 2 mm copper beads
• 1 x 2. 5 mm copper beads
• 1 x 3 mm copper beads
• 1 x 4 mm copper beads

Tools required (not included):

• Fine tipped flush cutters
• Heavy duty flush cutters
• Chain nose pliers
• Round nose pliers
• Flat nose pliers
