'Filigree Christmas ornament'

In this tutorial I will show you how to create wire filigree ornament (can also be a pendant or earrings) using undrilled diamond cut gemstones and wire. I will show you how to create the base shape, components and create the settings to secure your stones and how to finish your piece.

Materials:

Wire:

• 1 m of 1.3 mm (16 ga) wire
• 1 m of 0.4 mm (26 ga) wire
• 1 m of 0.6 mm (22 ga) half round wire
• 1 m of 0.6 mm (22 ga) square wire

Beads & gemstones:

• 3 x 3 mm round cut gemstone
• 1 x 4 mm round cut gemstone
• 1 x 5 mm round cut gemstone (use dropdown to choose type)

Tools required (not included):

• Fine tipped flush cutters
• Chain nose pliers
• Round nose pliers
• Bent nose pliers (optional)
• Steel block
• Chasing/texturing hammer
